I joined Calvary Christian Academy in 2017. It's such a joy to work alongside staff and families who put God first and constantly support and pray for each other in love and unity. I have always had a heart for children, and I love the school’s vision and passion for training up the next generation of children to live Christ-centered lives. My experiences working with children through various forms, some of which include nannying and behavioral therapy - have given me insight and skills needed to help children grow in a classroom setting. In the years I’ve worked at CCA, the students have reminded me what it means to have childlike faith and to dream big with God. This school is truly a special place, and I am so excited to see how God will continue to move in and through the community here!
In my free time, you can find me painting, playing a board game, swimming, drinking coffee or boba tea, writing, singing, and leading worship. I love traveling with my husband and spending time with my family as well.
I've been a substitute/teacher aide for CCA since 2022, but I’ve been teaching for over 20 years! I'm very excited to see what God will do this year! I feel called to serve here and help guide little ones in the ways of Jesus!
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Ron, for over 8 years. We love to go camping, visiting parks, and watching a good movie! I have been a worship leader since I was a teenager and absolutely love helping lead his people into his presence through worship!
I truly believe God has prepared and equipped me to be a teacher. I have had the wonderful privileged of teaching at Calvary Christian Academy since 2015. I chose to teach at CCA because it is Christ-centered to the core. I share the same passion and vision for education as our school: to train up, discipline, and educate children in the ways of the Lord. As an educator, it is my desire to provide a loving and nurturing environment for students as they learn and grow, not only in academics, but also in their personal relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ.
When I am not in the classroom, I can often be found completing a fun art project, decorating for an event, playing a board game, or watching an old classical movie or a cooking show. I also love spending time with my family and traveling the world. One unique thing about me is that I am a childhood cancer survivor. God graciously spared me from cancer and has allowed me to be a living testimony of His great faithfulness and sovereignty.
I love teaching the children about the love of God and inspiring them to develop their gifts for the Lord. It's amazing to watch children come in on the first day and see howm uch they grow by leaps and bounds. This is my third year serving at CCA. It has been my dream job. I have been married for 18 years and have two wonderful teenagers! In my free time, I love to hang out with my sisters, nieces, and nephews. It's my honor to serve the wonderful families at CCA.
I have taught in public and Christian schools for more than fifteen years. I choose to teach at CCA because I know that the Lord is the focus in all we do at the school. Our purpose is to raise up a generation of well-equipped, Christian men and women, who know the truth and are able to live according to God's will.
My husband and I have been married for over fifteen years. We have one son who attends CCA—and he loves it!
As I begin my first year serving at CCA, I can’t help but praise the Lord for this immense blessing and privilege. I get to work alongside godly men and women, while also being able to glean wisdom and knowledge from seasoned teachers. Best of all, I get to wake up every morning and serve the Lord by the building up of His Church. In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus gave His disciples a final command, to “make disciples…teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." The best way to fulfill this commandment is by working at a school that views the spiritual discipleship of their students as of superior importance. As teachers at CCA, it is our vocational duty to inspire our students rather than motivating them, to be lifelong learners. But as slaves of Christ, it is our spiritual duty to lead our students by example and instruction on how to be ambassadors of our Lord Jesus Christ in a world in which we are pilgrims.
While growing up, my mother was very involved in my education. I was mainly homeschooled and was blessed with a wide range of academic experiences and perspectives. I also attended private Christian schools, public schools, and co-ops. After high school, I attended the Master’s University and graduated with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Biblical Studies and Classical Liberal Arts. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, cooking, baking, hiking, being outdoors, but most of all studying God’s Word & learning more about history, literature, culture, art, music, philosophy, or whatever new thing sparks my curiosity.
This is my second year at CCA, and I'm so thankful God led me to work here alongside such dedicated staff and families. I'm passionate about helping children come to know Christ as King and Savior, and to develop a love for reading, storytelling, and exploring God's creation. I've previously taught lower elementary at a public school in New Mexico and international Christian schools in China and Hong Kong. CCA stands out to me as a school that proclaims the truth of the Gospel each and every day. I look forward to sharing in students' joy for learning here! Outside of school, I love to bake, garden, do pilates, and travel.
My name is Makenna Meyer and I just graduated from highschool. I enjoy working with children because I love sharing my passion for Jesus and education with them. The Lord called me to CCA to further His kingdom and to invest in the future generation. I am excited for the opportunity to use the gifts God has given me. This is my second year serving at CCA! In my free time, I enjoy reading and sewing. I also enjoy spending time with my family, whether it is playing a board game or going on a hike!
This is my third year working at CCA and I am very excited to be used by God as a 4th grade teacher. I have taught in the public school for ten years and God how now called me to serve Him here at CCA. It is an honor and privilege to be able to join CCA in equipping our children to know God, see His beauty in nature, and understand the ways He has worked throughout history. I have a passion for teaching kids and helping them grow in their knowledge and love for God.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy working out, hiking, spending time with my family and friends, gardening, sewing, and reading good books. During the summer, you will me serving God around the world on mission trips.
I love working with children and moreover at a Christian school because they are our future and we must teach them the love of our God and our great nation. I felt called to serve here at CCA when I heard the need for teachers aides. I had time and I wanted to work for God's glory and kingdom. I have been serving at another church for almost 20 years through missions trips to China, introducing God's Word to the Middle School teachers and teaching about Christianity. I have also been to Mexico on Easter and Christmas as a translator. I am happily married. I like sewing, doing crafts, photography, scrapbooking, and event planning.
Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I have been teaching for over 12 years. It is a true blessing to be able to teach in a Christian school because it allows me to teach about the love of Jesus. The Lord has blessed my husband I with two amazing boys. As a family, we definitely feel His presences in every aspect of our lives.
I am entering my 30th year of teaching experience, most of that in the public school setting. In 2022, I had a growing need to leave that system. From that, a stronger and stronger calling brought me to CCA. I am happy and blessed to be here to unite with families in grace and truth. I look forward to developing student confidence, awareness, and love in the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 says, "For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?" I was so blessed to have shared a life with Mrs Mac and the love and care she showed for these kids and this school is a gift that I have received as well. It is thrilling to have a small role to be able to pour into these young people the Word of God and watch them grow and be established in the faith.
I am excited to share a love learning with students this year at CCA in the calling that the Lord gave to me to be here. I have been married for 28 years and have four children. I have been homeschooling for the past 20 years using Charlotte Mason and Classical Conversations. I am a retired software engineer who is also a country girl who has done the Ironman competition.
I feel called to serve at CAA because I want to instruct the next generation, teach boys how to be biblical, masculine, and godly men.
My four grandchildren are all presently enrolled. My wife and I have raised two adult children and seven grandchildren. I like to play golf, fish, and hunt. I grew up in Kansas then moved to California on December 31st 1977.
I have been blessed to be a part of CCA as a parent since 2010, when the school opened, and as part of the staff since 2017. My husband and I have been married for over 25 years, and we have been blessed with six children.
It has been such a joy and privilege to work in a Spirit-filled school alongside an amazing staff, who are passionate about what they do and in their love for the Lord! My favorite part of teaching at CCA is seeing the students grow in their knowledge, faith, and love for the Lord.
I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, baking, listening to music, and hosting in my home.
My career background includes teaching in public school, working in the corporate world as an account representative, owning/directing a preschool, and homeschooling my three children (twin girls in high school & a son in junior high). I have been married over 20 years and our family loves the outdoors whether we are hiking/biking in the mountains or boogie boarding at the beach! I personally love spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking, recreational swimming, studying my Bible and serving in many capacities at our local church. I'm thrilled that my children get to attend Calvary where Christ is glorified and where I get to play a role in the spiritual and academic growth of my students!
2 Corinthians 10:5 - We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
I love sharing my passion for serving the Lord with my students. It is such a joy to pray God's word over them and to teach them how to practically apply His principles and promises to their individual lives on a daily basis. This is my third year of teachng at CCA and my fourth year serving as facilitator of "Moms in Prayer". I have been married for over 28 years and my husband, Anthony and I have four precious children. Our family enjoys spending time together at the beach, playing board games, watching movies, attending church, and having picnics in the great outdoors.
Four years ago, God put a calling on my life to disciple the next generation with a focus on turning boys into men. Before joining the staff full time as the Youth Pastor, I spent five years as a professional athlete and gained many life experiences that prepared me for what the Lord had in store. I have been married to my amazing wife Gaby for over 3 years and we just welcomed our first son into the world this August. I'm eternally grateful to the Lord for saving me and using me in this capacity to further His kingdom.
This is my fourth year working at Calvary, and I am so excited to see what God is going to do through me, here. I am so blessed to be able to journey alongside young children, as they grow and pursue God. I know that I will learn so much about what it means to have child-like faith from my students, and I pray that I will be able to encourage them in their daily walk with the Lord.
I worked as a substitute teacher for two years in several public school districts in the Bay Area. I have substitute taught in grades K-8th. I really enjoyed gaining experience at many different schools in many different classrooms. While I enjoyed the day-to-day changes of being a substitute, I am so thankful to now be employed at a wonderful, private school, where I can share my beliefs and grow alongside the students, faculty, and staff. I look forward to my time, here, at CCA.
My husband and I have been married for several years, and we both grew up in San Jose. We would love to get a dog soon! In my free time, I love to shop, spend time with family, grab a coffee at my favorite café (Peet’s), and eat sushi.
This is my first year at CCA! I am excited to be joining the team as a science teacher. It has been a great joy of mine throughout my school years and early career to see the beauty of God’s Creation through the sciences. I look forward to sharing my passion for science with my students, as I have found that the more I learn the more awe and wonder I have for the Lord.
Beginning my fifth year at CCA, I am very grateful to serve in a school which prioritizes not only rigorous habits of mind, but also habits of heart.
From grades one through eight, I learned at home with my brother and four sisters. My mom chose a curriculum for us nearly identical to the one used at CCA, and it has been so sweet to revisit these texts! I am glad to align myself with a community which prioritizes the pursuit of Beauty and Truth, modeled for us through literature which enriches the mind and soul.
While attending high school at Cranbrook Kingswood in Michigan, I began learning Latin, and I immediately knew it would remain a focus throughout my life. Later, at Columbia, I also studied Biblical and Attic Greek. As a teacher, I treasure the opportunity to educate students about the persistent themes and resonances of these languages throughout Western literature; they are so rich. Prior to CCA, I taught Latin and English at Saint Thomas Choir School in Midtown, Manhattan. This boarding school, for boys in grades three through eight, housed the choristers of the Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys. It was a lovely experience to have taught in a school with such a rich tradition, and I enjoyed each moment of life in New York City!
While in California, I have been blessed by the community of teachers and families at CCA. The opportunity to teach at a school with a clear vision and unified faculty causes me to rejoice daily in God's grace and provision.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy exercise, reading, and visiting farmers’ markets. While living in New York, I also danced ballet professionally, so as a "retired" ballet dancer, I enjoy taking and teaching classes recreationally!
God called me to serve at CCA to share my knowledge and experiences in the science industry and to help recognize that God gave us science and math as a tool to build and glorify His kingdom.
I started teaching at CCA in 2021. I taught Physics and Calculus for the Rhetoric School. I'm married to Sargon Ishaya, also a teacher at CCA. We have two kids at CCA: Segy and Angelina. I enjoy gardening, reading and learning God's Word, and playing with my kids. I enjoy playing different sporting activities. I was captain for my H.S varsity volleyball team and my husband and I previously competed in amateur ballroom competitions.
After many years of the business world, it is an honor to be teaching geometry with the excellent CCA faculty and staff. I'm excited to share my passion for math and God's design with the CCA students.
My husband I have been married for over 18 years and are blessed with two sons and two grandchildren. I look forward to making many new CCA friends!
I think we are at a critical time in the history of our country. We need to train more 'Followers of Jesus' in our country to make our society better. This is what I feel has drawn me to CCA.
I have attended CCSJ for over two years because CCSJ stayed open when my church closed. I am widowed and have two stepchildren. I read apologetics history and mystery books.
I love working in Christian education because it allows free speech and free religion. We are then able as teachers to lead and share Christian life experiences and Biblical truths to truly enrich and guide these young adults in their future schooling, discipleship, vocation, family life, and the Great Commission.
This is my second school year teaching at CCA. I have one adult daughter who works in a medical profession. I am married to a wonderful woman who is equally yoked in Christian faith and Christian worldview action. My hobbies include road and mountain biking, ice skating, foreign languages, and travel trivia.
My husband and I have been married for over 23 years and started attending Calvary Chapel during the Covid pandemic after our home church shutdown. This will be my first-year teaching. I felt called to serve here at CCA when I heard the need for an instructor to teach cooking through the life skills program. I have a background as Food Service manager at a local church, as well Cooking Instructor for a corporate team builder facility. Over the years, I have enjoyed banquet serving at several hotels, such as the Wyndham and San Jose Fairmont. I am a strong believer that food connects us to each other and look forward to teaching cooking skills to our students. In my free time, you can find me enjoying our two dogs, Gio and Max. I like baking, creating new recipes, teaching food preservation (canning methods, both water bath and pressure canning), and Bible study.
My vision as a teacher is to pass the spiritual baton to our next generations just like what Moses, Elijah and Paul did. As we disciple them alongside, I pray that our students will inherit double portion of our gifts and continue to shine brightly for His kingdom.
My husband Edmund & I have two lovely daughters who have been attending CCA since preschool. We are extremely grateful to be part of this school and the wonderful church community.
God’s creation is fascinating and exciting! Discovering how it works inspires praise for Him and can build skills to serve Him!
This is my second year teaching at CCA, but I have long been a teacher, coach, and mentor at heart. I have broad management experience covering P&L, marketing, engineering, and manufacturing within Fortune 500 companies and also start-ups in Pre-IPO, IPO, and M&A stages. Along the way I devoted many years researching and applying knowledge about toxic body burden (the pollution in people).
I’ve been married over 35 years to my lovely wife and together we’ve been blessed by our two young adult children whom we homeschooled. I thoroughly enjoy deep dives into The Bible! Some of my interests include audio engineering, guitar, woodwork, singing, sound money, and edible gardening.
It is an honor and true joy to be a part of this amazing God-fearing community. God has blessed me with the opportunity to see so much of His amazing Creation, and I love sharing this perspective with the students here. My goal is to serve the students in their path to a deeper connection with God's character and deity by admiring the intricacies of our universe. After this connection is made and strengthened, my hope is that they use this knowledge in their service to Him and their fellows wherever their calling takes them.
I have taught at CCA since 2023, and it was a truly amazing blessing unlike anything I've ever experienced before. I have been having fun with chemistry since I was younger than my students, and professionally for about twelve years. My current job is a bit like running science fair projects for hire.
I'm married, and outside of class I enjoy visiting the mountains and traveling with my wife, as well as various DIY hobbies including metalworking and 3D printing.
My calling in life has always been to teach.
I have been a teacher here at CCA since early 2023, when I served as a tutor and a substitute. This experience allowed me to better understand the inner workings of the school and begin to develop a rapport with the students.
In the fall of 2023, I began teaching two sections of Geometry, a personal favorite subject of mine. I truly enjoy working with the students at CCA, both in the classroom studies and in the Good News of Jesus Christ. I was previously a teacher of mathematics, physics and computer science at a private school in my home state of Virginia.
Outside of the classroom, I also teach self-defense and firearms safety. My tour of Israel in 2022 was a significant part of my spiritual journey with Jesus.
CCA has been an integral part in the life of my family since 2014 when my oldest children began attending. Looking back at my life, I see clearly that God has strategically placed people in my life (beginning with my parents) who have inspired me to seek a Christian education for my children. After homeschooling for a few years, God continued to present CCA to our family and He has confirmed year after year that this is the community He has prepared for us. CCA’s mission and commitment to build disciples who change the world for God’s glory is exceptional.
After a few years of serving as a room mom coordinator, I officially began my employment at CCA as a substitute teacher in the Logic and Rhetoric School. In my third year serving at CCA, I'm grateful to work with our Rhetoric School as the House Administrator. I pray that the lives of the students at CCA are eternally transformed by the Holy Spirit through the depth of the knowledge they are taught. May God’s truth transform their hearts.
So blessed to be part of this beautiful school and community! Ever since my daughter started at CCA two years ago, I realized what a gift from God this school really is. Filled with people who love the Lord with all their hearts and are so dedicated in serving Him, and glorifying Him in all that they do. I am so grateful that my children get to be raised up in an environment that puts God front and center.
As for me, I am a former pediatric nurse and travel nurse of over 13 years. After taking several years off to be a stay-at-home mom to my two precious children and then, having my youngest start Kindergarten this year, I was looking for ways to recycle my blessings once again. And there it was! An opening for my favorite subject, Anatomy + Physiology! I have been having the best time teaching this year! I love working with the high school students and engaging in deep discussions about how fearfully and wonderfully made we are, indeed!
I am from Cleveland, OH, so the chilly weather doesn't phase me. I am married to my best friend who happens to be a Parisian. My kids are very silly and make me laugh all day. I love art, photography, learning about food as medicine, taking walks in nature, and just simply spending time with my family.
My wife of 26 years and I are blessed to be a part of CCA as parents. Our two children started at CCA’s Logic School and are both now attending the Rhetoric School. I have been a Bible study leader for over 20 years serving in men’s ministry and guiding men in the study of God’s Word to transform lives.
Recently, I retired from my high-tech career to invest in the next generation of young men at CCA. God is moving in the hearts and minds of our youth to press back against the darkness and reveal the light through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
After many years in France, raising my three sons in Mexico, working in the business world and most recently teaching High School Spanish here on the Peninsula, I am extremely blessed to teach at CCA where my love for Jesus is mirrored and encouraged by everyone around me!
This is my first year teaching at CCA. Learning to speak Spanish and French has changed my lifeband opened so many doors for me, enriching my life in ways I could never have imagined. I love teaching language and helping students gain the confidence they need to venture into new places and engage in conversations with those they wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to meet. I learned about Calvary Chapel San Jose while living in Costa Rica during the lockdown, and have attended church here for the past 2 years.
Outside of school, I tutor privately, spend time with family, read and learn about the Bible, philosophy, politics, history, economics and finance. I enjoy preparing healthy food, riding my bike, working out at the gym, and getting into nature as often as I can.
I've had a consulting business for over twenty years where I facilitate classes and coach individuals on how to equip themselves with the tools to fortify resilience. I was also a Behavioral Health Educator for a large health care organization for over 15 years.
In 2010, I developed a program that combines cognitive restructuring with the transformative power of God's Word. I have taught classes to hundreds of people over the last 14 years teaching them to love God’s Word and to connect with Him more deeply by reading and applying His Word to their lives so that they can “be transformed by the renewing of their minds” (Romans 12:2).
I'm passionate about the study of apologetics (as well as Bible prophecy), and I felt called to serve at CCA when I heard there was a need for an apologetics teacher. It is my honor to teach the wonderful Rhetoric School students at CCA!
My husband and I have been married over 30 years, and we're blessed with a son who is in college. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, decorating and vacationing in our vintage RV.
My teaching path at CCA began in 2016 volunteering in Mrs. Arndt's second grade class coordinating art projects for my daughter and her classmates. It was a special experience I cherished each week. The following year, God opened the door for me to join CCA’s faculty, and I have been blessed beyond measure ever since.
Prior to CCA, I worked as an illustrator, graphic designer, and web designer for corporations and small businesses throughout the Bay Area and around the world. During this season, the discipline of drawing and painting proved a relentless tug I couldn't resist; God was preparing me for a new role! I treasure the opportunity to encourage our precious students to value and develop their God-given creative and artistic abilities, pointing them to Christ with the artwork they create. Training students to pursue and capture inspiration from the Truth, Goodness, and Beauty surrounding them in God's marvelous creation is a wonderful privilege.
My husband and I have been married for over twenty years. Our daughter has attended CCA since preschool and is now in the Rhetoric School. We enjoy serving at CCSJ–my husband serves on the worship team, my daughter in the Children's Ministry, and I serve in the Youth Ministry. During my free time, I love being outdoors with my family and dog, gardening, practicing the violin, drawing, painting, and visiting the symphony and art museums.
I am blessed to have the opportunity to teach at CCA. Being able to share the love of Jesus with students in the classroom is life changing for students and faculty. I am a grandma of six, ages 2-14. Recently, my husband of 37 years, a wonderful, Christian, passed away. I am blessed to be comforted by Jesus love as I adapt to my new life. I keep active by swimming every day.
It is a pleasure to be serving at CCA, as a part of their music education program. Having been involved in this private school environment since the Fall of 2015, I have regularly been working as a music teacher and educator since 2008. I have been fortunate to have a background in worship music, as well as other music disciplines. I am very privileged to work at CCA for many reasons. Initially, this work allows me to nurture my calling in discipling those around me and pouring into their growth. Additionally, I enjoy interacting with all the students, spending time with the staff, and working specifically in music. And finally, it is fantastic to be in such a Christ-centered environment aimed at bringing God glory in all endeavors. Outside of school, I cherish two siblings and two wonderful parents. In my spare time, I enjoy taking naps, dabbling in audio-engineering, jamming with friends, or taking walks. And I almost never say "no" to a great meal.
My motto is "Stronger than yesterday and a little bit better than the day before."
I love encouraging our youth to train what God has given them for His glory. More than ever, our children need to see that they were created in His image for a unique and special purpose, every detail of their being perfectly thought out. You would not think so, but even during P.E., students expect to be the same speed, height, and weight—but that is not how God made them. My job is help train each student to take care of their body and improve their own skills. The focus needs to be on doing the best they can do each day and improving what God has given them.
I love God, my family, exercising, music, and horses. Beyond that, I want and aim to live for Christ. I've wasted too much time on pride, selfishness—and did I say pride?!? I praise God that He has allowed me this opportunity to serve Him.
The verse I hold onto is Isiash 43:19: "Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."
I've been working in a variety of roles for CCA since 2022, and I'm excited to see how God will use me to further His kingdom! I am a mother of three children and love that I can work here and send my children to a school that strives to glorify God. I feel called to serve here as I want to be a part of the battle for our children to grow in the knowledge and love of the Lord in all education subjects.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Garrett, for over 13 years. Our family loves to go hiking, camping, visiting National Parks, as well as eating great food. I also love playing volleyball, growing flowers in my garden, and designing flowers for weddings.
My name is Jordan Swartz, and this will be my first year teaching at CCA and my second year coaching here. Since I started coming to Calvary Chapel SJ back in 2021, I have seen many great works that the Lord has done in my life, as well as in the lives of those around me. This has encouraged me to serve in various ministries by dedicating myself to going wherever the Lord has called me. In the past year, I have felt the Lord placing it on my heart to help disciple the younger generation, just as I have been discipled by many great older men in the church. I am excited to see all the great works that the Lord will do in the lives of the students for this upcoming school year!
In my free time, I enjoy playing the electric guitar, lifting weights, hiking, learning new things, and spending time with my family and friends!
I absolutely love teaching at a Christian school and working with the students because God can be found in every subject. I am able to teach and learn more about God while teaching that subject. This is my second year at CCA. I enjoy singing, making music, and watching movies with my family and husband.
More than ten years ago the Lord put a desire on my heart to start a school which disciples future ministers and missionaries for God’s kingdom. When my children were learning classically at home, I knew what type of school was needed to disciple children to become world changers. Proverbs 22:6 states that we are to “train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” With this mission, we opened our doors in the fall of 2011. It is my pleasure to lead and support Calvary Christian Academy through providing vision and upholding the standard of God’s infallible word!
I have been married to my wife, Brenda, for over twenty years. We have seven children together. When we are not serving at church or school, we enjoy time together as a family.
It is so much fun working and teaching at a Classical Christian School, especially with the Junior High students. I was in Jr. High when I made a commitment to fully surrender my life to Christ. Teaching Junior High is my absolute passion!
Our curriculum at CCA is living and works mightily in the hearts of those who are blessed to go through it. It is an absolute joy to teach at such an amazing school. Not only do I enjoy the students and curriculum, but I also love working with the staff. At CCA, we have amazing, Christian men and women, who are committed to Christ and doing their best for His glory!
I have been happily married to Michael for over twenty years, and I am blessed to have seven children, who range in age from elementary to college. All of our children, who have attended CCA, have been so blessed and loved by their teachers. Their spiritual and academic growth is astounding! When I am not working at the school, I love spending time with my family, gardening, sewing, cooking, teaching Bible studies, and so much more!
Having joined Calvary Christian Academy in 2015, I have taught for over thirty years, preschool through twelfth grade. I embrace classical, Christian education for two primary reasons. First, it maintains the proper goal of education, which is not to merely train good technicians or accountants, but to cultivate virtue and purpose in the lives of students. Second, classical, Christian education is vastly superior to the modern approach to education because, through the Trivium, it utilizes the student’s natural developmental stages to produce a student equipped to both think and articulate great ideas. While CCA meets these two goals, the emphasis on discipleship to produce world changers for Jesus Christ excites me the most.
It is my deepest desire to partner with families, as we strive together to be legacy builders to the glory of God. I love teaching elementary school Math all the way up to Calculus, but my accomplishments also include teaching Bible, Engineering, Jr. & Sr. High School Science, Technology, and P.E. Additionally, my background includes teacher training in all curriculum areas, parent training as a minister and seminar speaker, and corporate training in various software applications (including 3D CAD/Internet Collaboration).
My wife, Crissi, and I have been married for over 25 years. We have two, grown daughters and one grandson. I am most blessed among men with the amazing family God has provided me.
I consider it one of the most precious privileges to serve the Lord through ministering in the lives of the next generation. Jesus loves the little children and we are called to do the same. It is my prayer that all CCA students will confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, treasure Him and His Word above all else, and live an abundant life as they abide in Him. My husband and I have three children, all attending CCA. They have been blessed with loving teachers and staff, a rigorous Christ-centered education, and faith-growing experiences that continue to solidify their faith in Christ.
CCA is an amazing place to be a part of because the heart of the school is to bring as much glory to God as possible! What an honor to pour into the lives of young men and women who will grow up to serve God in many ways. While academics and social growth are important, the main focus is the heart of the students and their relationship with the Lord. When you pair excellent academics with Biblical truth integrated into all subjects and aspects of the day, amazing things are bound to happen!
There is no greater honor than to pour into the lives of the next generation. As the days are growing more and more wicked, it is essential that these students are raised up with strong convictions, knowing what they believe and how to defend their faith. I also love the joy that children have, to share in their wonder and excitement is a blessing!
My husband and I have been married for twenty years and have four amazing and beautiful children, who not be who they are without all of the amazing men and women of CCA, pouring their love into helping to mold them into men and women of God.
I am honored and blessed by the opportunity to join CCA and to serve the school in the finance role. I love CCA’s passion to train up Christ-centered children through a discipleship approach to learning. It is such a special place.
For eleven years, I worked as a financial statement auditor, specializing in nonprofit clients. I left the world of public accounting to stay home with our three children, but I remained involved in accounting through various volunteer roles. I am excited to follow God’s leading into this new chapter!
My husband and I have been married for over eighteen years. Our three children attend CCA and absolutely love it! We are so grateful and blessed by the teachers and community at CCA. In my free time, I love golfing, snow skiing with my family, photography, scrapbooking and having coffee with friends.
I have served here at CCA since 2014. What a privilege it is be a part of the vision Pastor McClure and his wife have received from God to raise up the next generation in the admonition of the Lord. What a blessing it is to work alongside like minded staff and families who share in this vision, all to God’s glory! I can honestly say from experience there is no school like CCA in the valley, Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
I came to Christ during junior high camp at Calvary. I met my husband here at Calvary and we have been married since 1996.
I love spending time with family and friends, road trips, reading and long walks with my husband.
Growing up I played competitive softball from the age of 8-21 years old. I played two years at West Valley College and graduated with an AA in Liberal Arts. I am humbled to have the opporutnity to love the children and make an impact in their lives, because I absolutely love children! Sharing with them the love of Christ, getting to know them and praying for them. I am honored to stand beside others who want to bring up this next generation with a firm foundation in Christ. I have been married for over 15 years! We have two precious children, Levi and Vivienne. Our family loves to travel and do just about anything outdoors. I feel very blessed to be a part of the CCA family!
I felt God calling me to serve when we had enrolled our youngest into preschool. I had been praying about how to occupy my free time that would glorify God and to be a light to my three kids and their classmates. Children are so special and important and I feel so blessed to be a part of CCA and their lives. My husband and I live in Morgan Hill. We love being together whether it's on our boat at the lake, camping, going on walks or movie nights. I'm a big bookworm and love to read as well as crafting, baking, and sewing.
As a past instructional aide with a strong desire to see children develop academically and in their faith, I value the chance to nurture others in expanding their knowledge of God, His Word, and with with any educational projects. I'm ecstatic to be working at a school where God's love is openly implemented into instruction and comprehension.
In 2018, I became a mother to my wonderful son, Matteo. One of our favorite things to do together is read books and tell each other stories. My greatest prayer for my family and I is for us to keep loving and following God, just as He loves and is there for us.
The Lord has always put a passion for children on my heart since I was young. I have worked professionally with children since 2016 and have volunteered in the Church's children ministry for over 10 years. I also worked with infants for over a year and I loved being able to be a part of their firsts and watch them grow into toddlerhood and onto preschool. I truly enjoy getting to teach children something new and just being caretaker to children in general. My husband Jose and I have been married since 2015, and have three amazing children, Aadyn, Eva, and Eloise. When not at school, I enjoy the outdoors, spending time with my family, and watching movies with my family!
I am excited to be here at Calvary, a school that shares my passsion for teaching with a Biblical worldview and discipling students to grow in their walk with Christ.
My husband and I have been married for over 35 years and are blessed to have our children and two grandchildren all living in San Jose. We enjoy getting together for family game nights.
I have been a preschool teacher for over 20 years. I have also been a supervisor. This is my first year here at Calvary. I feel so honored and blessed to have the privelege to be a part of such a wonderful school. It's so encouraging to be able to teach our children the Word and love of God. I also look forward to encourage a love for education to our children. I give God all the glory for opening this door for me to teach our children.
I live with my mom. I have one nephew and three nieces that I love very much. I love to watch movies, read books, and going for walks. I also love to listen to worship music.
I have been working with children since 2013 and since then my passion for caring and supporting them has grown. I have worked in private schools, Montessori schools, and led many after school programs in public schools, as well as being a tutor and nanny. As a mother, my love for children and understanding the needs of a parent has helped me be the best example I can be. As well as made my faith stronger! I love working and volunteering at Calvary in the children's ministry.
I am a mother who has been a Christian my whole life. I love God and going to church with my family and when the doors are closed, we're usually outside hiking and seeing all the beauty our Lord created.
Hello! My name is Jennifer Gomez and I am so excited to be the Little Cubs teacher! I’ve been teaching for five years and this is my first year teaching here at Calvary Christian Academy. I have my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mission Community College. I am currently an online student with Biola University and in the pursuit of obtaining my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education as well. I have such a passion for teaching our youngest learners and one of my favorite things about it is their child-like faith. I feel as though God called me to teach here at Calvary to help nurture the spiritual formation of our youngest students while simultaneously connecting the Lords divine nature into all of areas of the classroom. When I’m not teaching you can usually find me baking, going for runs, watching baseball, or drinking coffee!
I have been working with children for three years and this is my first year as a teacher’s aide for the Soaring Eagles Class at CCA. I am truly grateful to be working at CCA where God is the center of the school. I love children and I want to show God’s love through the teaching of the Bible and spending time with children. It is a blessing to see all the children sing songs praising Jesus in the classroom. I am married with three children who love to attend CCA. I have been praying for many years to be able to work at my children’s school and be a part of the Christian community that helps change one child at a time through Christian education. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, biking, and camping.
